Internal Audit & Compliance Officer

Job Description:
Develops, implements, and manages an internal audit and compliance program performing risk assessments, internal audits and compliance reviews applicable to consumer protection laws and regulations.  Provides training and monitors procedures and practices of bank and personnel for compliance and adherence to established policy and procedures.

Job Requirements:
Education, training, experience:
Education required:  A college degree or equivalent job-related experience.

Preferred:  Certified Bank Internal Auditor or Compliance Officer.

Work experience required:  At least 3 years of internal audit or compliance experience at a financial institution.  Solid interpersonal skills necessary to interact with bank employees, management, and regulatory examiners.
Knowledge of banking, the internal structure of a bank, elements of bank operations and services.  Understanding of consumer protection laws and regulation along with bank supervisory examination procedures.  Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
